French Design: Guillerme & Chambron Settee in Oak, c 1960's

This settee was designed by the iconic French design duo Guillerme et Chambron. The high quality and distinctive skeletal open frame construction features a beautifully crafted spindle back, sculptural arm rests, and notched, turned and planed details. The frame is made of beautifully waxed solid oak. The thick plush wool cushions are also typical.

The combined attributes of this poised but easy-going form exemplify the designers' cultivated aesthetic for their post war brand “Votre Maison." This settee is a special piece with its vibrancy and warmth. It will hold its own and blend beautifully with a range of styles in a room.
